Our 11+ mock exams aim to provide your child with the experience of sitting tests in conditions similar to the real thing. Our mock tests have been written specifically for each event. Your child will sit an English and Maths test under the same time constraints as the CSSE 11+ exam. Following each event you will receive your child’s marked papers, along with a results summary showing how they have performed in relation to others sitting the tests.

This Introductory 11+ Mock Exam is designed for who have entered Year 5 in September 2025. The event is designed to provide early confidence in sitting a CSSE 11+ style test in exam conditions. Your child will sit English and Maths 11+ mock tests and will be guided by our two experienced teachers during the event. Following the tests you will receive your child’s marked papers and a results analysis. A question and answer session will be incorporated into the morning, providing your child with the opportunity to discuss and listen to questions and advice. The 11+ tests are unique to this event and have been written by us.

Our creative writing masterclass will help develop your child’s writing skills to ensure they maximise the number of marks gained on the writing element of the 11+ English paper. The morning session will focus on a variety of writing skills including; vocabulary choice, sentence structure, advanced punctuation, originality and figurative language. Both past CSSE writing tasks and our own in- house materials will be used throughout the session. Your child will have the opportunity to write and receive live feedback from our two expert primary teachers.

Our maths masterclass will develop your child’s ability to tackle the range of concepts that appear in the 11+ maths paper. Time will be spent practising core skills, in addition to the development of more advanced strategies enabling your child to build confidence in approaching the more challenging aspects of the CSSE 11+ maths paper. Past CSSE 11+ maths papers will be used, alongside our own in-house materials. Our two highly experienced primary teachers will lead the masterclass.

Our reading comprehension masterclass will support you child in structuring their answers in response to the style of questions posed in the 11+ paper. During this morning session your child will have the opportunity to read and respond to a range of texts and question types. Responses to questions will be modelled by our teaching team, giving your child clear examples on which to base their own responses. Feedback will form an ongoing integral part of the masterclass session. Bothe past CSSE papers and our own in-house materials will be used. Our experienced primary teachers will lead the masterclass.

11+ Weekly Tuition Sessions autumn Term 2025
thursday 25th september -thursday 18th december 2025
Our weekly 11+ tuition group sessions take place every Thursday from 5.15pm-6.15pm. The sessions are delivered online via Zoom. Two highly experienced primary school teachers lead the sessions which cover all aspects of the CSSE 11+ exam. Your child will be able to participate in exactly the same way as they would in a face to face lesson. Feedback is provided throughout. Maths, reading comprehension and creative writing skills are developed over time with both past CSSE questions/tasks and our own inhouse materials used. The cost of each session works out at £15.00 where a term (or part thereof) is paid in advance. Alternatively sessions can be paid for weekly at a cost of £20.00 per session (Please email us if you wish to pay weekly). Sessions are suitable for children in school Years 4 and 5.

Our small group 11+ sessions are an alternative to more expensive 1 to 1 tuition options. In addition to developing skills with the teachers, children will also learn from each other.

All of our 11+ mock exams are written specifically for each event. Your child will sit and English and Maths paper in exam conditions, using the same timings as the CSSE 11+ test. Once completed you will receive your child's marked papers and a results summary.
11+ Masterclasses
Our 11+ masterclasses are designed to develop advanced skills in reading comprehension, creative writing and maths. Our masterclasses take place on a Saturday morning in the lead up to the CSSE 11+ test.
11+ summer booster course
Our Summer Booster Course takes place during three mornings in the last week of August each year. This course is perfect for helping children to refocus after the long summer break and give a final boost to preparations for the CSSE 11+ test.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does a mock exam event last?
Our 11+ mock exams typically run from 8.30am-12.00pm. Where we run afternoon mock exam sessions, these run from 12.30pm-4.00pm.
What should my child bring to a mock exam/masterclass?
Your child should only bring the minimum necessary equipment to an event i.e pen/pencil, ruler & rubber in a clear plastic bag/pencil case. Your child should also bring a drink (preferably water) and a small nut-free snack. No large bags will be permitted.
Following a mock exam, when will I receive my child’s results?
Your child’s papers and results summaries will be posted to arrive approximately 10 days following the exam. We may offer a collection service where results are made available the following Saturday after a mock exam.
My child usually receives support at school with their learning. Will they be able to receive support during an 11+ mock exam?
We will usually only mirror any arrangements confirmed by the CSSE administration. This is to ensure that your child receives the same support in a mock exam that they would receive in the 11+ exam itself.
Will my child be able to sit with a friend during a mock test/tuition class?
Unfortunately children will be preassigned to a test area prior to a mock exam, just as they will be for the actual CSSE event. Where practical children will be able to sit with a friend during a tuition class.
How can I find details/confirmation of my booking?
Your PayPal receipt acts as confirmation of booking (please check junk/spam email). This will be sent to the email address linked to the PayPal payment. Final details regarding registration etc will be emailed to the PayPal email approximately 7 days prior to the event.
Terms and Conditions
Mock Exams/Masterclasses/Summer Booster Course/Final Booster Course
All mock exam/masterclasses/booster events booked can be cancelled up until 48 hours prior to the published start of an event. No refund will be given for any cancellation made within 48 hours of the published start of an event or for failure to attend/illness. All cancellations will be subject to a £5.00 per event administration fee+PayPal fees. No refunds will be provided for part attendance at Summer Booster/Final Booster Course.
Weekly Tuition
No refunds will be provided for missed sessions where a term is paid for in advance. A £15.00 cancellation fee will be payable where a term’s tuition is cancelled prior to the first session taking place.
